The conference was titled: &#8220;Christian Social Work in Egypt: Re-digging the Old Wells&#8221; and was attended by a select group of individuals interested in community affairs in Egypt, along with representatives from the Egyptian Church in its various denominations.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>The conference reviewed the history of Christian social work in Egypt across all its denominations, drawing valuable lessons from it and envisioning a more effective and sustainable future map for joint community work.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Prof. Dr. Magdy Latif Al-Sindi, Dean of the Institute, participated in the first session of the conference with a scientific paper on \u201cCommunity Work in the Egyptian Church: Between Reality and Hope.\u201d Assistant Professor Dr. Iman Nasri Daoud, a faculty member at the Institute, also participated in the second session with a research paper on \u201cThe Impact of Christian Counseling Institutes on the Establishment of the \u201cMawadda\u201d National Program.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>This conference was the culmination of a large number of preparatory meetings held by the Center&#8217;s working team, led by Dr. Hanaa Yashoua Gad, Senior Researcher and Supervisor of the Center&#8217;s Research Unit, and under the patronage of Dr. Q. Sherif Salah, the Center&#8217;s Executive Director.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.copticad.institute\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/\u0627\u0644\u0645\u0646\u0635\u0629.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2888\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>The conference agenda included three sessions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>First session: \u201cChristian Social Work in Egypt: Biography and Journey\u201d moderated by Rev. Dr. Tharwat Wahib, Vice Dean of the College. Speakers:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>A. Evelyn Boutros \/ Program Development Consultant at the Bishopric of Public, Social and Ecumenical Services.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Representing His Grace Bishop Julius, Bishop of Public and Social Services.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Ms. Margaret Saroufim\/ Head of the Development Sector at the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Representing Dr. Rev. Andre Zaki, Head of the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Father William Sidhom \/ Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Scientific and Cultural Renaissance Association \u201cJesuit Cairo\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Father Milad Shehata \/ Director of the Franciscan Cultural Center for Coptic Studies.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Prof. Dr. Magdy Latif Al-Sindi \/ Dean of the Coptic Institute for Church Management and Development<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Session Two: &#8220;The Church and Community Work.&#8221; Moderated by Prof. Dr. Nadia Halim Soliman, Professor of Sociology and Director of the Women&#8217;s Research Program at the National Center for Social and Criminological Research. Speakers included:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Prof. Dr. Nadia Halim Suleiman<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Prof. Samia Kadry Wanis \/ Professor of Sociology at the Faculty of Girls, Ain Shams University. Represented by Dr. Walaa Asaad Abdel Gawad.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Prof. Dr. Iman Nasri Daoud \/ Assistant Professor of Sociology and Demography &#8211; Faculty of Arts &#8211; Helwan University and a faculty member at the Coptic Institute for Church Management and Development<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Rev. Rafat Fikry Saeed\/ Head of the Council for Dialogue and Ecumenical Relations in the Evangelical Synod of the Nile.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Father Eid Salah \/ Pastor of the Evangelical Church in Ain Shams, and a researcher in Arab Christian heritage<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>The third session, &#8220;Social Work as a Tool for Community Reform,&#8221; was devoted to presenting and discussing research papers submitted by the following researchers:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Ms. Yasmine Kamel Mansour \/ Political researcher and interested in Arab Christian heritage<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Ms. Heba Yousry Habib\/ Director of Programs of the Intercultural Dialogue Forum at the Coptic Evangelical Organization.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>A. Amjad Shafiq Musa \/ Artistic Producer \/ Master\u2019s Degree in Management and Leadership &#8211; Evangelical Theological College.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>A. Maryam Fikry Saeed \/ Master\u2019s student in Management and Leadership at the College.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Q. Ayub Ibrahim \/ Priest and Presbyterian Church in Egypt.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>A.
