On Wednesday, February 15, 2023, corresponding to 8 Amshir 1739 A.M., the activities of the regional training course on “Church Administration” began. The course is organized by the Coptic Institute for Church Administration and Development (COPTICAD) for the monastic community of the Monastery of the Virgin Mary in El-Muharraq, Asyut, and for a number of priests from the Diocese of Manfalut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The course is held under the patronage of His Grace Anba Bigoul, Bishop and Head of the Monastery of the Virgin Mary in El-Muharraq, and His Grace Anba Theophilus, Bishop of Manfalut and its dependencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The course, scheduled to run until next Sunday, February 19, 2023, will be attended by approximately 40 priests and monks from the Muharraq Monastery, churches in the village of Rizqa al-Deir, and the Diocese of Manfalut. The training will be held at the Holy Family Cultural Center at the Muharraq Monaster<\/strong>y<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His Grace Bishop Bigol, Abbot of the Monastery, inaugurated the course, which aims to train participants on the principles and methods of church management, wise management, institutional work, and the developmental approach to church service, through interactive training and workshops involving groups of trainees<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The training is conducted by the team of the Coptic Institute for Church Administration and Development (COPTICAD), led by the Institute’s Dean, Dr. Magdy Latif El-Sandy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is worth noting that this is the first training course the Institute has offered to the monastic community of one of our flourishing monasteries in 2023. It is also the sixth regional course the Institute has provided since 2022 for dioceses in Northern Upper Egypt (Asyut), the Delta region (in Abiar, Diocese of Tanta), and dioceses in Southern Upper Egypt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These courses are held in response to the recommendations of the Eighth Seminar of the Holy Synod, which convened in November 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
